A historic property with an ideal situation

The Château Puy de Lignac is one of our two flagships Côtes de Blaye Châteaux.

It is situated just north of the town of Blaye, overlooking the Gironde estuary.

Its existence goes back to the planting of the first vineyards in this area.

As indicated in its name, its vineyards are situated at the top of a hill or "Puy" in the local dialect.

The property also has a well, or "puit" in French, which can cause confusion...

Its brilliant red colour, has elegant reflections. The high percentage of Merlot gives it a powerful bouquet that smells of autumnal fruits. 

The taste is smooth with and long lasting with soft tanins.
