Château De Thau

AOP Côtes de Bourg

In the XII century

The first stones were laid during the Era of English Aquitaine.

During this period, the wines from Bordeaux were exported to England.

In 1700

You could arrive at the Château by boat, and an inventory from that time reveals that the winery owned 3 presses, 2 grape crushers, 3 big tanks and 8 smaller ones, 28 barrels full of another red wine and 21 full of the beverage for the workers.

In 1963

Our family bought this iconic Château in the Côtes de Bourg, which had fallen into a state of ruin following the French Revolution, with the intention of restoring it back to it's former glory.

Much work has been put into to restoring the vineyards and winery.

To allow us to make the most of our "terroir", we use winemaking methods that combine tradition and modernity.

Albert Schweitzer's comment

My wish is to create an elegant wine that combines power and complexity.

I select grapes from the best vines and blend them together with the utmost care in order to obtain the highest quality wine  possible from our terroir and our know-how.

Through this wine I aspire to communicate my passion for nature and art and hope to share it with as many people as possible.""
